Trident University International (Trident) faculty member Dr. Heesam Kang has just published the paper, “A Study on the Influence of Apartment Brand Image on Occupancy Satisfaction,” in the Journal of Korea Convergence. The paper was co-authored with Dr. Dong Il-Kim of Pusan National University in Busan, South Korea.
Dr. Kang, a professor in Trident’s Glenn R. Jones College of Business, instructs in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Ph.D. in Business Administration programs. Previously he was a professor in the School of Business at Bacone College in Muskogee, OK.
In this study, the co-authors investigated the relationship between resident satisfaction and the overall residential satisfaction in a residential environment. The co-authors determined that there was a statistically significant relationship between satisfaction and brand image, as well as a significant relationship between residential satisfaction and the overall residential satisfaction in a residential environment.

Dr. Kang is an active researcher who has been published several times. Additionally, he has served as an editor for Journal of Convergence & Management Review. His areas of expertise include digital policy and management, financial derivatives, information systems analysis, and CPA preparation.
Dr. Kang earned a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington, MBA in Finance from Oklahoma City University, and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
