Royal Jelly Jive Shakes Up Summer Nights on July 21 at Osher Marin JCC
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (PRWEB) June 18, 2018 -- Summer Nights at the Osher Marin JCC brings one of the hottest, fast-rising bands of the North Bay to the 2018 line up on July 21.
Few bands have the ability to evoke an old-school throwback vibe and yet sound entirely fresh and new at the same time. Royal Jelly Jive is one of those bands. Combining elements of soul, rock, swing, and hip-hop, Royal Jelly Jive shakes up any dance party and grooves harder than the typical rock n' roll band dares to. Fronted by the enigmatic singer Lauren Bjelde, who brings a one-of-a-kind sultry voice to her magnetic stage presence, Royal Jelly Jive leans on the sounds of swingin' horns, gritty keys and a bumpin' rhythm section to carry a crowd into bliss, creating an unforgettable live experience that will leave those in attendance wanting more.
An intoxicating mixed drink of hard swingin’ soul-jive, Royal Jelly Jive dives deep head-first into the old school throwback sounds of the 1940s with a groovy new twist. Rapturous horns, sleek bass, elegant keys and swingin’ cymbals are just some of the sweet tastes to devour!
The evening opens with Kathryn & the PBAC, a band formed by current students in the Marin Academy music program. They play a combination of both original works and covers and are paving the way for future music from the Bay Area.
