Atlanta-Based Creative Writer JB Burrage Announces His Blog, The Diary of a Mad Writer; “Sunday Night Thoughts” Series
ATLANTA (PRWEB) June 18, 2018 -- Creative writer JB Burrage, a Meridian, Mississippi native based in Atlanta, Georgia, has announced the launch of his blog, The Diary of a Mad Writer. Started in April 2017, it’s used by JB Burrage to talk about his opinions and views, his work, and mental health issues; specifically, his struggles with bipolar disorder. The ad-free WordPress blog is managed by his company, Phoenix Endeavors, Inc.
Posts are written—staying true to his form as a writer—though some have video links. Video entries are expected within a few months.
When asked what makes this blog unique, JB Burrage replied, “I tried several times to start a blog, but I would quickly lose interest. This one is different because it’s personal and part of the JB Burrage brand. I can’t lose interest now. People will get to see the world through my eyes. If anybody really wants to get to know me, follow the blog.”
“For the first time in a really long time, I feel the freedom to say the things I want to say, and the way that I feel,” he further explained. “Sometimes it will be controversial, and that’s the point; to be thought-provoking and push the edge a little. It’s the closest to liberation I can get in a world where people’s thoughts and words are often controlled or suppressed. I won’t restrict myself to the conventional style that other bloggers use and live by. That might work for them, but it’s not what I want.”
“This is my platform, my sounding board, my voice,” he concluded.
JB Burrage is also announcing the “Sunday Night Thoughts” series, where he takes a few moments on Sunday nights to write about different topics. He started it as a way to cope with his bouts of depression that he sometimes experiences on Sunday nights. He often uses late-night radio playing in the background as a muse for his work. Entries are usually posted between 10 PM and 11:30 PM EST. He mentioned that this series could become a video blog over time.
While the blog focuses on his thoughts and work, JB Burrage is open to suggestions on topics, and people can leave comments. All comments are reviewed prior to posting to prevent spam. His opinions don’t represent the views of Phoenix Endeavors, Inc.
