Louis Hernandez Jr. Joins Board of Directors at Grupo ASI, a Leading Cloud Based Financial Technology Company

Earlier, he served as chairman and chief executive officer at Open Solutions, which grew from a startup to nearly $1.4 billion in value before it was sold to Fiserv. Both American Banker and the Wall Street Journal reported the company was a leading technology provider in the financial services sector worldwide while under Hernandez’s leadership. Hernandez was recognized by Bank Technology News, which named him a top innovative leader for his aggressive and innovative approach to open-architecture core processing technology strategies. More recently he served as chairman and CEO of Avid, a publicly traded provider of media-related technology.
He has shared more than 30 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur by serving on numerous corporate boards, including HSBC North America Holdings, Inc., HSBC USA Inc., and Southern California Edison.
In addition, Hernandez is the author of three books: “Saving the American Dream,” “Too Small to Fail,” and “The Storyteller’s Dilemma: Overcoming the Challenges in the Digital Media Age.” He is the founder of A Little Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to elevate underprivileged minority youth and women through education, healthcare and leadership development initiatives.
Hernandez started his career at Price Waterhouse LLP as a certified public accountant. He is a graduate of San Diego State University with an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
