Qihoo 360 International Business Development Director Joins TrustNote

Located in Sydney, Mr Lu will head up TrustNote’s Australia team and lead its global business development and global user community development. Mr Lu’s addition to TrustNote will bolster the project’s Internet expertise and capabilities. He will focus on rapidly expanding the project in partnership with world-renowned Internet companies and renowned university and research institutions, as well as rapidly growing the user base of both investor and developer communities ensuring TrustNote becomes the world’s leading high-performance distributed ledger for the tokenised economy.
Bob Lu holds an Executive MBA degree from the University of Birmingham and a Master’s degree in computer science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is considered an expert in the Internet industry with the rare combination of experience in senior technology research and development and marketing and business development. A pioneer in the globalisation of Chinese high-tech companies, he has also worked in the UK for many years, during which time he worked for Motorola UK, leading an international R&D team and made outstanding contributions to the success of several smart phones such as the Rizr Z8 and Z10. After returning home to Australia, Bob co-founded the mobile Internet company, Zoomi Technology, as a founding partner and project director. The project was later acquired by Qihoo 360 and became the core of Qihoo 360’s mobile browser. During this time, Bob joined Qihoo and moved from senior R&D manager and senior business development manager to International Business Development Director. Bob was responsible for Qihoo 360’s tens of millions of dollars investment in Brazil, leading Qihoo 360’s Brazilian investment to grow rapidly.
During his time as 360’s International Business Development Director, Bob led the international team to help 360 succeed in investing in the Brazilian security startup PSafe. In just two years, PSafe achieved rapid growth from zero to 20 million monthly active users, with more than 40 million daily views, and firmly occupy the first position in Latin America’s market. In the later period, PSafe, as the leading Internet company in Brazil, further successfully expanded into the U.S. market. Currently, more than half of its revenue comes from the United States.
