The United States is both a leader in the production and supply of energy. With the total investment in the sector at $280 billion, and the industry employing over three million men and women nationwide, the US boasts one of the most attractive energy markets worldwide.

Despite the mounting opportunity available within the industry, women only compose about 20 percent of its workforce. With three quarters of employers in the energy sector reporting difficulty in hiring qualified candidates—coupled with the fact that 50% of the workforce will be retiring in the next 5-7 years—it’s evident that now is the time to tap into a diversified pool of talent to meet this need.
