US Commerce Department Presents Award to Specialty Products, Inc.
TACOMA, Wash. (PRWEB) June 07, 2018 -- – Specialty Products, Inc., (SPI) was presented the Export Achievement Award from the U.S. Commerce Department on June 5, 2018. Specialty Products has aligned with the Commercial Service Department over the last six years to expand their international partnerships and product awareness around the world. The U.S. Commercial Service’s global network of trade professionals and programs have supported SPI through trade counseling, business matchmaking, and the STEP grant program.
The assistance of the U.S. Commercial Service has helped to further SPI’s international market presence and awareness of industrial polymers to more than a half-dozen additional countries across several continents. The assistance has helped attract and strategically recruit new distributors and agents around the globe. The new partnerships have ultimately facilitated an increase in international sales opportunities, and the export of SPI products to various countries.
The Export Achievement Award was presented at the World Trade Center in Tacoma by Phil Gardner, representative of WA-10 District Congressman Dennis Heck, and Diane Mooney, Seattle Export Assistance Center. The award was accepted by Chas Weatherford, Vice President of Specialty Products, Inc. “We could not be more pleased to have received this award. The international community is beginning to recognize the importance of innovative polymers such as polyurea, and is making significant progress to accept newer coating technologies.
