Apex Learning Releases New York Regents Tutorials
SEATTLE (PRWEB) June 06, 2018 -- Apex Learning, a recognized pioneer and innovator in online learning for secondary education, announces New York Regents Tutorials. Designed specifically to prepare students for the Regents exams, these Tutorials help New York educators raise exam scores through focused instruction, practice and review.
Regents Tutorials make it easy for teachers to address individual student learning needs. Adaptive remediation to address learning gaps and real-time support for struggling learners allow all students to achieve grade-level mastery. Each student engages in instruction focused on what he or she needs to know to improve performance on the Regents exams.
In a national study, Tutorials were proven to have a significant impact on middle and high school student learning. During the 2016–2017 school year, posttest achievement improved by more than 50 percent over pretest scores, with an average gain of more than 23 percentile points.
“The most effective way to increase state exam outcomes is to close the achievement gap for struggling students and to challenge students who are at or above grade level,” said Cheryl Vedoe, CEO, Apex Learning. “New York Regents Tutorials are created specifically to prepare students at every level of academic readiness for the content covered on the Regents exams.”
The suite of Regents Tutorials—English Language Arts, U.S. History and Government, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and Living Environment—are available now. These are in addition to Tutorials aligned to the New York state standards in math, science, English and social studies for grades 6–12.
