WordSouth’s Video and Design Work Earns National TeleChoice Awards for Clients
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) June 07, 2018 -- In recognition of outstanding work in the field of telecommunications, NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association honored three WordSouth clients as TeleChoice winners at its annual PR & Marketing conference.
Peoples Rural Telephone Cooperative (McKee, Kentucky) received an award in the “Local Video” category for its “Virtual Living Room,” and North Central Telephone Cooperative (LaFayette, Tennessee) was awarded in the “Single-Target Print” category for its “Come Back” campaign — both of which were produced by WordSouth.
In the “Local Video” category, WordSouth produced a three-minute video documenting the opening of a telehealth facility to provide local veterans better care. The facility was spearheaded by PRTC. In the “Single-Target Print” category, WordSouth designed a series of direct mail pieces targeting former NCTC customers who had recently switched providers. The message of each piece centered around the idea that everyone makes mistakes and that it was time for the customer to come back to NCTC. Both projects were not only award-winning but also delivered strong results that helped the clients reach their goals.

Winners were announced during a ceremony April 30 in Nashville.
“The marketing efforts of NTCA member companies continue to play a critical role in educating and raising awareness of communications technologies, services, initiatives and issues that impact the vitality of rural communities and our nation,” said NTCA Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield.
Entries were judged on innovative strategies, design, writing, creativity and other elements specific to each category. The awards program is open to each of the more than 800 telcos that are members of NTCA and “honors excellence in independent telco public relations and marketing.”
While many of WordSouth’s awards come as a result of the Regional Telco Magazines the firm produces for its clients, WordSouth’s work has earned TeleChoice Awards in other categories. As recently as 2017, WK&T Telecommunications Cooperative (Mayfield, Kentucky) won a TeleChoice Award for “Single-Target Print Publication” on a project WordSouth completed for them.
