StructionSite, Inc, a provider of 360 photo and video documentation for the construction industry, is announcing it’s enterprise partnership with national firm McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (McCarthy), allowing the team to collaborate quicker on project documentation, progress, and timeline.

StructionSite’s ease of use as a 360° photo and video documentation tool has created productivity efficiencies at moments when capturing information is critical, benefitting the team as a whole. “Based on extensive piloting, StructionSite’s easy-to-use platform has proven it can drive 5-10x productivity savings in the capture of this critical information,” said Dave Burns, Director of Innovation & Field Applications at McCarthy. “This efficiency is driving a significant uptick in the digital capture of construction progress, enabling greater levels of downstream communication across all project stakeholders, especially with our trade contractors, design teams, and clients.”

“The use of 360 photography enables our teams to produce high-quality documentation of our job sites at key milestones throughout the project,” said Dave.

For the McCarthy team in the field, the key to success has been a combination of standard ‘flat’ photos and 360 photos, meaning StructionSite is not just a 360-tour application, but a complete construction documentation tool that can be used by the entire project team. “Our project team at Christus Spohn Shoreline Master Plan chose StructionSite because it filled a dual purpose of gathering both general progress photos and 360 in-wall documentation photos in a single, easy to navigate source,” said A.J. Woodyard, Assistant Superintendent, McCarthy. “Contextualizing standard progress photos and capturing in-wall documentation photos was a benefit, giving us the ability to know what was installed inside a wall before it was covered allows the client to understand existing conditions better when things need to be added.”

“McCarthy has always been very impressive in their use of reality capture technology, including their use of the Rithm software for extracting floor flatness and monitoring deliverables from 3D laser scan data,” said Matt Daly, CEO of StructionSite. “Partnering with the most respected builders in the industry is something we strive for every day of every week. We are honored to be supporting the project teams at McCarthy as they continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with this technology.”

About StructionSite
Contractors love StructionSite because they can ‘walk the job,’ even from the office. Owners love StructionSite for the transparency and professional offline handover deliverable. Our newest platform enhancement, VideoWalk™, allows the user to walk around a job site, non-stop, while recording 360 videos. Once uploaded, StructionSite will automatically track and stitch a path onto a floor plan, allowing a project team to visit any location along that path as if you had stopped and taken a 360 photo. StructionSite is the #1 reality capture platform for Construction teams to improve processes, know when work is ready, and collaborate quicker.
