According to the new CDC data, which has been certified by medical directors for the reporting year 2016, fertility centers referring to Ovation Fertility laboratories for embryology services are achieving nation-leading fertility outcomes.
For example, “implantation rate” is considered a reliable measure of embryo quality, as it reflects a healthy embryo’s ability to implant into a patient’s uterus.
- 30% of the top 10 highest implantation rates for women younger than 35 were reported by independent practices exclusively using embryos created in Ovation Fertility's IVF laboratories.
- The nation’s highest implantation rate in the under-35 category (79.3%) was also reported by a practice exclusively referring to an Ovation Fertility IVF lab.
- The nation’s second-highest implantation rate in the under-35 category (75%) was also reported by a practice exclusively referring to an Ovation Fertility IVF lab.
- Every clinic using Ovation Fertility's embryos reported implantation rates in the top 25% of the country for the under-35 category.
The "golden outcome" in IVF is a single embryo transfer resulting in one healthy baby. In the past, laboratories were unable to generate embryo quality sufficient to regularly achieve pregnancy with a single embryo transfer, so physicians would resort to transferring multiple embryos in the hope that at least one would implant. However, in many cases, multiple embryos would implant, leading to higher-order multiple live births. Pregnancy with multiples is higher risk than singleton pregnancy, as it is more likely to lead to premature birth, low birth weight and adverse health outcomes for the babies.
Healthy singleton live births can best be achieved when physicians are confident in the quality of the embryos they are transferring.
- 20% of the 10 practices with the highest incidence of healthy singleton live births in women younger than 38 achieved their success exclusively with Ovation Fertility embryos.
