Metroplex Tamil Sangam Unveils FeTNA 2018 Tamil Convention Program Schedule
DALLAS (PRWEB) June 08, 2018 -- Metroplex Tamil Sangam is pleased to unveil the detailed program details of 31st annual convention of Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FeTNA), planned to take place at Dr. Pepper Arena, Frisco/Dallas, Texas on June 29, 30 and July 1st, 2018. The 3 day convention centered around the themes of ”Heritage, Youth and Women” is anticipated to be one of the largest Tamil cultural festivities in North America attracting 5000 people around the globe, under one roof.
The FeTNA 2018 festivities kicks off with an all-day business conference on Friday the June 29th “Tamil Entrepreneur Forum (TEF Talk) followed by a Grand Welcome Reception in the evening honoring the special guests, dignitaries, special guests and sponsors. The second and third day of the convention has several treatises for the ardent lovers of Tamil Language and Culture with a mega dance performance on the morning of June 30th under the guidance and choreography of Kalaimamani Narthagi Natraj involving 250 children/adults followed by a classical musical medley involving some very ancient instruments played by renowned musicians from Tamil Nadu.
Karuthukalam led by Advocate Annamalai, Kaviyarangam led by Erode Tamilanban, Art Workshops conducted by Kalaimamani Trotksy Marudhu and Artist Ilayaraja. FeTNA convention tradition includes recognizing eminent Indian American Tamils Pioneers in the field of Arts, Business, Entrepreneurship, Medicine etc. with the TAP (Tamil American Pioneer) Awards. A panel discussion on alternative medicine with participation of distinguished doctors from Ayurvedha, Yoga and Touch Heel Therapy is bound to give valuable insights on Natural Way of Living and Healing. Sangangalin Sangamam – a confluence of various Tamil Sangams of North America will be a visual treat to the spectators to. A Short Film contest is another signature event of FeTNA.
A number of contests have been planned for the kids to recognize their prowess in different areas including their ability to memorize and assimilate the essence of Thirukural through Kural Theni competition, Tamil Theni - a contest on the lines of Spelling Bee to recognize the Language Prowess. Ilakkiya Vinadi Vina where the Literary Prowess of the Participants are tested and a contest to recognize the Singing and Dancing skills of the children. Several of the competitions are taking place across the united states (Zones) with all the Zonal Finalists competing at the FeTNA 2018. FeTNA Ambassador Program is a brand-new initiative recognize talent in youth and is going to become a mainstay of FeTNA in the years to come.
The FeTNA 2018 program committee has taken immense efforts in putting together a compelling lineup of programs for three days for the convention providing the attendees a 360 degree infotainment with a programming mix that allows the audience to experience the richness of Tamil Culture with an authentic flavor, instill the pride of Tamil heritage in the youth and to inspire the younger generation to become future torch bearers.
