Golden Gate University Selects Portfolium ePortfolios for Graduate Program
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) June 08, 2018 -- Golden Gate University (GGU) has chosen Portfolium’s ePortfolios for their Ageno School of Business to help students turn their learning artifacts into valuable evidence of skills and support student success from college to career.
Portfolium’s student success platform will allow students to convert curricular and co-curricular learning artifacts into potential career opportunities. GGU is providing lifelong free ePortfolios to students making their learning portable and searchable by employers.
As part of GGU’s rollout, Portfolium will initially launch in two Ageno School of Business (ASOB) departments in the summer semester, with full implementation throughout the graduate school by midterm fall. Through the graduate student program, Portfolium will benefit students that consist mostly of already working professionals who are adding to their educations in order to pursue further career opportunities.
GGU chose Portfolium because the student success platform is able to bridge learning, assessment and lifelong portability in a seamless way that replaced GGU’s temporary solutions. Due to a seamless integration with the college’s learning management system (LMS), Moodle, and an intuitive user experience, GGU is able to launch with minimal student and faculty training.
“Whether it’s a graduate student, first year student or alumni, we at Portfolium promote connecting learning with opportunity,” said Troy Markowitz, VP of Academic Partnerships at Portfolium. “Which is why we are thrilled to partner with GGU and create a permanent bridge between the two for their students.”
Portfolium’s ePortfolios are free for life for students to carry evidence of their curricular and co-curricular achievements and skills throughout the entire student lifecycle and beyond as alumni. As part of Portfolium’s student success platform, employers are able to match student’s evidence of skills derived from what’s being measured in the class directly to the job criteria, enabling them to increase diversity in the workplace and for students to see direct value of their degree and program.
