2018 Ox Ridge Charity Horse Show June 12–17, 2018 to Benefit Local Community Organizations the Community Fund of Darien and Pegasus
DARIEN, Conn. (PRWEB) June 10, 2018 -- The Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club is happy to announce its commitment to the community and the charitable organizations benefiting from the 2018 Ox Ridge Charity Horse Show. This year’s show will benefit both Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, an organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities through equine-assisted activities and therapies and new this year to the Ox Ridge charity roster is The Community Fund of Darien which serves Darien, Stamford and Norwalk with programs that promote self-sufficiency, basic needs and youth success allowing adults to live independent lives.
Scheduled for June 12 through 17 at the newly-branded Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club, the week-long event is a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National and Jumper 4 star rated Show featuring ponies to Olympic riders. This year’s highly-anticipated show will serve to showcase the many improvements to the Club, including a complete overhaul of the facility, the addition of racquet and squash courts and a state-of-the-art fitness and event center slated to open in 2019. The new facilities will offer equestrian and squash programs for both adults and juniors, and memberships are being offered now.
Laurie Orem, Director of Development at The Community Fund of Darien, stated, “We, the Community Fund of Darien, are very grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of this year’s Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club Charity Horse Show this June. The Community Fund’s goal is to help secure the safety net for our neighbors with critical needs in Darien, Stamford and Norwalk. This year we will invest approximately one million dollars in local nonprofit agencies and initiatives. We are so appreciative that the Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club is supporting our mission.”

The event draws over 5,000 spectators and more than 300 VIPs on Saturday June 16 at 4:00 PM to watch the Grand Prix.
