Local Angel Fund, Start100 to Host First Bootcamp for Product Entrepreneurs in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRWEB) June 12, 2018 -- Charlotte-based niche investment fund, Start100, will host its first bootcamp for product entrepreneurs to receive intensive coaching, mentoring and assistance on both their rewards crowdfunding campaign and their business model. Selected groups will attend the week-long seminar starting June 18 in the Charlotte Enventys Partners' office.
Part angel fund, part accelerator and part startup coach for potential high-growth entrepreneurs, Start100 invests $50,000 in seed capital to fund a successful crowdfunding campaign, group mentorship and access to follow-on funding.
“Our goal is to make launching and scaling startups in Charlotte easier for product entrepreneurs and we leverage the success of rewards-based crowdfunding to do it,” said Tom Ryan, General Partner of Start100. “We’re investing in teams of highly-driven entrepreneurs producing mass-appeal products who are great problem solvers, know how to execute, are engaging communicators and are able to hustle.”
The two fund recipients that will participate in the first Start100 bootcamp are LadyTechnology, Inc., makers of Kegg, a smart fertility device and #GetKidsMoving, Inc., makers of Rox, an offscreen gaming system for kids and families that camouflages fitness as play.

The event will feature pitches from both Kegg and Rox founders, as well as product previews and sneak-peeks at both company’s upcoming crowdfunding campaigns.
