Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Turns to Smartphones to Modernize Care Team Communication
SARASOTA, Fla. (PRWEB) June 13, 2018 -- Voalte, the leader in healthcare communication technology, today announced that Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, a 772-bed, non-profit academic medical center serving a 17-county region in North Florida and South Georgia, will use Voalte smartphones with secure text messaging for care team communication throughout the organization, starting in the Perioperative areas and then in the new multi-story, 340,000-square-foot M.T. Mustian Center.
Clinical staff, including Radiology Technicians, Patient Care Assistants and Respiratory Therapists, will collaborate via secure text messaging and voice over IP (VoIP) calling using Voalte One™ on Apple® iPhones and the Voalte Me™ app on personal smartphones. Voalte will also support Tallahassee Memorial’s implementation of the TeleTracking Clinical Workflow™ application, which provides real-time visibility to patient, staff and procedure status, and will integrate with the hospital’s Cerner® electronic medical record (EMR).
“We’re looking forward to working with Tallahassee Memorial to give care teams access to the most up-to-date patient information in the EMR, and the ability to collaborate quickly and efficiently on an easy-to-use smartphone,” said Trey Lauderdale, Founder and CEO of Voalte. “By integrating to one dependable source of patient information, Voalte Platform lets caregivers search for and view the entire care team, then quickly create group text messages to engage in conversations about patient care.”
