Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld Announces The Addition of Senior Investment Management and Tax Attorneys
PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) June 13, 2018 -- Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC (RCCB), a law firm offering a distinctive combination of practical business acumen, legal expertise and entrepreneurial passion, today announced the launch of its new Investment Management Practice Group, focused on investment advisers, private funds and registered investment companies. Senior Counsel Brian Vargo has been hired to support the launch with his extensive experience in fund formation and investment management. He joins the firm’s Corporate & Business attorneys who work on private fund formation and portfolio investment matters. The firm has also added Leila Vaughan as Counsel in the Tax Group. Both Vargo and Vaughan will reside in the firm’s Conshohocken Office.
Brian Vargo joins RCCB with a background advising on investment management and financial services. He has worked on such matters as investment adviser formation and registration, investment company formation and private fund formation and offerings. He is also experienced in registrations and SEC filings, investments in private funds, investment advisory contracts and other adviser and fund contracts, fund governance, securities regulation and compliance, M&A, and reorganizations.
Prior to joining RCCB, Vargo practiced at global law firms K&L Gates LLP and Dechert LLP. Vargo has also taught a course on investment management regulation as an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University School of Law for 16 years, and founded the Mid-Atlantic Hedge Fund Association, where he still acts as an Officer.
Vargo earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and B.A. with Honors from John Carroll University. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.

Leila Vaughan joins RCCB with business tax and non-profit experience gained during her career, including periods at Ernst & Young and Drinker Biddle. At RCCB, she will work as a member of the Tax Group.
Vaughan earned her LL.M. from New York University, her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and her B.A. from Duke University. She is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
