TMSA Announces 2018 Marketing and Sales Executives of the Year
MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) June 13, 2018 -- The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) announces the recipients of the 2018 TMSA Marketing and Sales Executives of the Year. Receiving this prestigious award is one of the highest honors bestowed on an individual within the North American freight transportation and logistics industry. Each year, this award recognizes one senior industry leader in sales and one in marketing who demonstrate ongoing excellence and success in their respective fields. Both individuals were honored Monday at the TMSA Logistics Marketing & Sales Conference near Fort Myers, Fla.
Mark Southey, executive vice president of business development with Traffix, received the 2018 TMSA Sales Executive of the Year. Based in Milton, Ontario, Traffix offers solutions that include truckload and less-than-truckload, warehousing, international air and ocean services, transportation management and network optimization.
“TMSA is thoroughly impressed by Southey’s understanding of his sales teams’ training and resource needs, which ultimately has resulted in software and system changes designed to improve the sales outcome and efficiency of his company’s brokerage sales team,” said Brian Everett, chief executive officer for TMSA. “Being a strong sales leader requires someone who is sensitive to their sales team’s needs. That leader takes steps to make sure they have the support they need. Southey excels in this area.”
Jeff Beckham, partner at Kingsgate Logistics, received the 2018 TMSA Marketing Executive of the Year. Based in West Chester, Ohio, Kingsgate is a non-asset based third-party logistics company.
“As a business leader, Beckham clearly comprehends the value of branding and marketing in differentiating an organization to the marketplace,” said Everett. “He recently guided Kingsgate through a successful overhaul of the company brand which better articulates the value proposition of his organization.”
These awards are part of TMSA's mission to provide recognition to marketing, sales, and communications professionals in the transportation and logistics industries. “Both Southey and Beckham exemplify what TMSA encourages our members to aspire to,” said Everett during a special recognition banquet at TMSA’s conference.
