In 2010, when Special Learning was first formed, the Autism prevalence rate in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was 1 in 110. In just 8 short years, that number has almost doubled to 1 in 59! Using those figures, there are approximately 130 million people in the world with Autism.
Special Learning’s mission is to help every person in the world living with Autism achieve independence so that they can live happy and fulfilling lives. This mission may seem far fetched at times.
