SourceMedia Appoints Sean Kron as CFO
NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 15, 2018 -- SourceMedia, a digital business information and performance media company serving senior decision-makers in finance, technology and healthcare, today announced the appointment of Sean Kron as CFO. Kron joins SourceMedia from S&P Global Platt’s PIRA Energy Group where he was Head of Finance. He will report to Gemma Postlethwaite, SourceMedia’s CEO.

Prior to joining SourceMedia, Sean was CFO for PIRA Energy Group, the leading integrated, research and data provider to the global energy markets. There he partnered with the management team on a company transformation that culminated in a sale to S&P Global in 2016 as well as the subsequent integration. Before PIRA Energy Group, Sean spent 12 years with Thomson Reuters in numerous financial leadership roles, including within the company’s data feeds business and supporting the integration of Thomson and Reuters.

At SourceMedia, Kron will serve as a member of the company’s Executive Committee and has full management responsibility for Finance, Accounting, and the Corporate Technology teams. He will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, and provide leadership and coordination of financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, evaluation of back office processes and policy, corporate technologies, acquisitions and debt financing.
He has an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a graduate of Lafayette College with a BA in Economics and Business.
