Sport expert James DeVellis plans to launch version 1.0 of a blog about Arizona sports in July. Read on to learn more.

Sport enthusiasts who reside in Arizona will soon have a new resource for staying up to date on everything related to sports in the Grand Canyon State thanks to blog creator James DeVellis.

Version 1.0 of DeVellis’s new blog will be released on July 1 after undergoing extensive beta testing that is slated to end at the end of June.

According to DeVellis, for starters, the microsite will give online readers the perfect opportunity to stay abreast on what’s happening in the world of the Arizona Diamondbacks -- the fastest Major League Baseball expansion team to earn a World Series title. The team accomplished this back in 2001 when it beat the New York Yankees, a three-time defending champion.

Readers can also receive updates on the National Basketball Association’s Phoenix Suns -- the sole team not from California that plays in the league’s Pacific Division. Although the team has appeared in a couple of NBA Finals and ended up losing both, the sun hasn’t set yet on this 50-year-old professional basketball team, which has the best fans in the league, according to Charles Barkley, celebrity Suns fan and one of the greatest players in the franchise’s history.

Those interested in the Arizona Cardinals can additionally get the scoop on the latest happenings involving this National Football League team. The team recently hosted a Super Bowl in 2015 (Super Bowl XLIX) although it has never won one itself -- yet.

Sport fans may also be intrigued to learn more about the Arizona Coyotes National Hockey League team or the Phoenix Mercury Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team through DeVellis’s new blog. Although the former has never participated in a Stanley Cup Final, the latter has taken home three WNBA titles. DeVellis’s goal is for his new microsite to become and remain the premier online go-to spot for the latest and greatest in Arizona sports.
