Gonzalez returns to south Florida after a successful career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Orlando State Attorney’s office. He brings extensive experience and a strong background in litigation including 40 felony and misdemeanor jury trials to his credit. As a State Attorney, Gonzalez prosecuted thousands of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to life felonies. Highlights of his career in Orlando include numerous successes in the Felony Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Unit. “His record is impressive, with a variety of trial victories including the most recent one securing multiple guilty verdicts on a heavily litigated attempted murder case,” notes founder and president of Steinberg Law, Brett Steinberg.
Gonzalez received several academic and trial competition awards during his time at the University of Miami (Cum Laude, Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science) and graduate school at the University of Florida (Levin College of Law, Cum Laude, Juris Doctor (JD) Degree). Awards include two Book Awards for most outstanding student, the Best Advocate Award at the South Texas Trial Team Invitational, and the Order of the Barristers Oral Advocacy Award. Gonzalez is admitted to practice law in all Florida State Courts and is an active member of both the Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Justice Association.
