U.S. Department of Homeland Security Designates CakeBoxx Technologies’ Shipping Containers as Anti-Terrorism Technology
MCLEAN, Va. (PRWEB) June 19, 2018 -- The Office of SAFETY Act Implementation at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently congratulated CakeBoxx Technologies on receiving SAFETY Act liability and risk management protections for their innovative high-security, ‘deck and lid’ design containers. CakeBoxx containers are now a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT) and are listed on the SAFETY Act’s Approved Equipment List. The SAFETY Act ‘Designated’ mark can now be used by CakeBoxx Technologies products.
Following the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, the U.S. Government established The Department of Homeland Security to focus on preventing and responding to future threats. The Homeland Security Act of 2002 was established, enabling United States Congress to enact several liability protections for providers of anti-terrorism technologies. The resulting SAFETY Act provides liability protections for those companies who provide qualified anti-terrorism technologies. The process of attaining a SAFETY Act designation is arduous, requiring an in-depth examination of the technology and the company behind it. In effect it is a seal of confidence from the US Government security experts that CakeBoxx products are effective against terrorism.
