Spring-Green Enterprises Welcomes Jeff Kastelic as Chief Financial Officer
PLAINFIELD, Ill. (PRWEB) June 19, 2018 -- Spring-Green Enterprises, the parent company to the Spring-Green Lawn Care and Pet Butler franchise brands as well as its portfolio of company-owned locations and subsidiaries, is excited to announce that Jeff Kastelic has accepted the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective April 30, 2018.
Kastelic started his financial career in 1991 with Price Waterhouse and went on to become the CFO of a privately-held, family-owned window company in 2000. In 2005, he became the CFO of Strive Logistics, a privately-held third party logistics provider where he oversaw the fiscally responsible growth from twenty employees to over two hundred during his thirteen-year tenure. Kastelic will oversee Accounting, Human Resources and all financial related functions for Spring-Green Enterprises.
Kastelic said, “I am very excited for the opportunity to work for a well-respected and established organization. I have spent most of my career working with privately-held companies with a focus on reporting, budgeting and operational analysis. I look forward to applying my experiences and contributing to the long-term development of the organization.”
The Spring-Green brand continues to grow steadily attracting existing green industry business owners who are seeking to diversify their services and operate a Spring-Green Lawn Care franchise in conjunction with their existing business. Spring-Green celebrates its 41st year in business this year and is recognized by Lawn and Landscape Magazine as a Top 100 company in the green industry. Spring-Green Lawn Care was a founding member of the Professional Lawn Care Association now known as the National Association of Landscape Professionals.
The Pet Butler brand was acquired by Spring-Green Enterprises in June of 2017. Established in 1988, Pet Butler was created to make life for pet owners more convenient, enjoyable, and safe. It operates through a network of franchise owners and currently provides pet waste removal and related services.
Spring-Green Enterprises recognized their need for a Chief Financial Officer to focus on financial planning, reporting, systems and overall risk management. Ted Hofer, CEO, said, “This is a new position and part of our overall strategic plan as we expand our brand portfolio and company-owned branches. I’m excited to add Jeff to our leadership team and leverage his experience as we move the organization forward. Jeff brings a great balance of experience both in leadership and finance and his core values align well with our family-owned culture. This was not an easy interview process, but it is a strategic addition to our team and I could not be more excited about Jeff’s ability to contribute to the road ahead.”
Kastelic and his wife of 25 years have 3 children and live in Naperville, IL. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, cooking and playing tennis. Kastelic is a CPA, holds an accounting degree from Marquette University and earned a Master’s degree in taxation from DePaul University.
