Prime Harvest, LLC Announces Submission of Applications for 5 Cannabis Use and Business Licenses in West Hollywood, California
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) June 19, 2018 -- Prime Harvest, LLC, a science-driven, vertically integrated cannabis company with operations throughout California, announced today that the company applied for five cannabis use and business licenses in West Hollywood, California. West Hollywood is located in Los Angeles County, the most populous in the U.S., and is among one of the first cities in the country to introduce licenses that allow for cannabis consumption lounges. The cannabis application period ended on May 31, 2018.
The legal U.S. cannabis market could generate as much as $75 billion in gross annual sales by 2030, according to investment bank Cowen & Co. In California, state and local tax revenue could exceed $1 billion a year by the mid-2020s, Bloomberg reported citing nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office.
Prime Harvest presented five concepts with unique business models in its applications, each borrowing from West Hollywood’s history and vivacious present, all while displaying Prime Harvest’s emphasis on quality and excellence. Specifically, the company created concepts around the name Sherman, paying homage to when West Hollywood was founded in 1896 as the town of Sherman.
Prime Harvest submitted applications for five license types using the aforementioned concept:
Sherman’s Union: an on-site consumption area for cannabis-infused edibles only;
Sherman’s Social Club: an on-site consumption area for smoking, vaping and ingestion;
Sherman’s Depot: an adult-use retail business;
Sherman’s Med Spa: a medical dispensary;
ERBL WeHo Mobile Delivery App: a delivery service.
In its description of Sherman’s Social Club, the company states that it promises to be a West Hollywood landmark with an emphasis on quality, sophistication and creativity. In an ambiance that balances glamour and comfort, it will provide an exceptional menu of cannabis and cannabis-infused products and efficient and friendly service.
“The Sherman brand is inspired by the well-established characteristics of this creative city’s interurban communities, eclectic culture, upscale lifestyle and contemporary classic fusion of architecture and 21st century tones,” said E. Duane Alexander, CEO and Founder of Prime Harvest, LLC. “With existing operations in southern and northern California, we embraced the opportunity to expand our footprint in the beautiful city of West Hollywood.”
The application submissions follow Prime Harvest’s announcement that it signed a letter of intent with ME Resource Corp. (CSE: MEC) in January as their first step toward bringing the company public.
West Hollywood will select the top eight applicants in each category. If chosen, Prime Harvest will then require the approval of a Zone Clearance followed by approval of a business license by the city’s Business License Commission.
