Chapter House Counseling Center Launches Partial Hospitalization Program
DALLAS, Texas (PRWEB) June 24, 2018 -- Chapter House Counseling Center has launched a Substance Abuse Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in the North Dallas city of Richardson, Texas. This increase in services comes after 3 ½ years of running Intensive Outpatient Programming for addiction issues. “We saw a need for more intensive day treatment for individuals suffering from addiction. The more clinical support available to those in early recovery, the better their chances are for success,” says Heidi Smith, Clinical Director. Individuals often get out of detox or residential treatment and return home with little or no support and Chapter House Counseling Center hopes to change that.
Many refer to PHP as “day treatment” as it includes at least 20 hours of clinical services each week. Chapter House Counseling Center will have PHP groups Monday through Friday and be able to provide a high amount of structure and support, while still leaving room for community and family interaction. Clients will receive psychiatric services, individual therapy, group therapy, structured recreational activities, yoga, life skills education, relapse prevention services and aftercare planning.
Chapter House’s PHP program is structured with highly effective evidence-based therapy curriculum for addiction recovery. Clients in PHP level of care receive individualized treatment plans that are executed at the individual and group level. The clinical approaches include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, experiential therapy, small group processes and peer-driven feedback. Additionally, there is intensive health and wellness education, yoga and life skills education in the curriculum. Family and loved ones are encouraged to participate throughout the treatment process by being a part of family therapy and family support groups. Chapter House’s masters level therapists have a variety of therapeutic specialties, one being EMDR certified and one being a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. The Medical Director and treating psychiatrist, Dr. Zakaria Zayour, is an addiction psychiatrist who is an integral member of the treatment team and very accessible to our clients and their families.
