Pastor LaVon Post Celebrates First Anniversary as Chaplain of Arkansas Surgical Hospital
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (PRWEB) June 26, 2018 -- LaVon Post, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Maumelle, is celebrating his first year as a member of the Arkansas Surgical Hospital team. As chaplain, Post provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, caregivers and hospital staff.
Post, who underwent knee replacement surgery at Arkansas Surgical Hospital in 2015, uses his first-hand experience and positive demeanor to help other patients at the hospital. He was also featured in a recent ad campaign (see video at right).
“Arkansas Surgical Hospital has been a tremendous blessing to me,” said Post of his experience. “Before my surgery, I could barely walk up the three steps to the pulpit, and I certainly couldn’t ride a bike. Today, I can ride my bike as much as I want, and I can walk up those steps without being afraid of stumbling. I thank the Lord for Arkansas Surgical Hospital because they gave me my life back.”
“We appreciate all the work Brother Post has done in his role as chaplain,” said Carrie Helm, CEO for Arkansas Surgical Hospital. “He’s made a wonderful impact on so many of our patients, and he’s truly a joy to spend time with.”
Post and Arkansas Surgical Hospital look forward to more years of working together. To learn more about Arkansas Surgical Hospital, visit http://www.arksurgicalhospital.com.
