Sovos Bolsters Cloud Technology Leadership with Chief Security Officer, Chief Product Officer and Head of Customer Success

The announcement comes as global demand for modern tax software continues to accelerate behind a wave of regulatory change in the enforcement of VAT, sales and use tax and a variety of taxes on transactions, including highly disruptive e-invoicing mandates on six continents.
John Strasser, who has led Sovos’ security practice for more than five years, is now chief security officer, responsible for information security, compliance, data privacy and global networking. Pawel Smolarkiewicz is chief product officer, leading the company’s global product management, regulatory analysis and user experience teams. Laura Handler is head of customer success, focused on growing customer engagement through a mix of customer success, customer marketing and customer experience.
