“A Kiss from God” is a beautiful book of essays and moments in a life touched by God. “A Kiss from God” is the creation of published author Sue Wedel, a wholehearted Christian mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who has not walked a day alone since coming to know the Lord in February of 1979.
Wedel highlights forgiveness as the beginning of healing: “Healing is a process. For some it is a short time, for others longer, and for some, it is a lifetime. I have been divorced from my first husband now for over many years and just realized the other day I was still broken. I had been a pastor’s wife, knew the word of God, and counseled hundreds. But I had not truly applied it to my own life. I wanted and yearned for our whole family to be healed so I sought forgiveness first from God and second from those I had offended. We cannot always be a victim if we wish to continue into the present with the victory over our own sins. Others around us cannot heal either when our wounds are still gapping and spanning as wide as the Grand Canyon. No Band-Aid can fix that, but the Word of God and our willingness to choose to forgive and be forgiven. Christ displayed that on the cross, when he said, ‘God forgive them for they know not what they do.’”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Sue Wedel’s new book is a rejuvenating breath of fresh air for the spirit, allowing one to step back and see the whole fleeting picture of life as a journey to the eternal.
Believers new and old will find gems in Wedel’s own journey, whether they reflect on the pattern of their own walks with God or come to know God’s loving gestures more expansively through the lives and testimonies of others.
