Unwind on the Coast this Summer with New 'Bonfire Hour' at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay
HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (PRWEB) June 26, 2018 -- The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay – the majestic oceanfront resort overlooking 50 miles of picturesque Northern California coastline – is offering travelers a new way to experience the famous California sunset with the debut of its new summer Bonfire Hour.
A whimsical nod to the resort’s signature fire pits, Bonfire Hour offers a curated menu of bonfire-inspired culinary specialties and other fun surprises to be enjoyed while taking in stunning sunset views over the Pacific Ocean. As part of the resort’s passion for embracing local artisans, the property has partnered with San Francisco-based boutique blanket company, Nipomo, to offer colorful handmade blankets for guests to purchase and to cozy up with during Bonfire Hour. Additionally, on select dates, the resort will host interactive ‘Fireside Chats’ with local experts.
Launching Thursday, July 5, 2018, Bonfire Hour will take place every Thursday through Labor Day from 7:00 p.m. to sunset on Ocean Terrace, the resort’s premier outdoor dining area featuring cliffside fire pits and sweeping ocean views. Guests can gather around the fire to savor delicious food and drinks alongside friends while striking up conversations with fellow travelers. Menu items will include mini s’mores, handcrafted cocktails, and warm beverages – perfect for those breezy coastal nights. Polaroid photos will also be taken on select Bonfire Hour dates for those wishing to capture their memories in tangible keepsake form.
To inspire extra relaxation, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay has partnered with Nipomo – a family-run, San Francisco-based boutique blanket company supporting artisans in California and Mexico – to pop-up at the resort this summer and offer beautiful patterned blankets for guests to purchase and use during Bonfire Hour and to take home. The blankets will include the Luna Collection selected exclusively for the resort in collaboration with Nipomo Co-Founder Liz Clark and feature an abstract moon pattern, mirroring the resort’s coastal location in Half Moon Bay.
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a casual Fireside Chat with a special guest during Bonfire Hour. From wine, to technology, to surfing, each guest will be an expert in their field and available to share insight into their craft with everyone gathered around. The Fireside Chat guest of honor will be different each time, so guests can expect a variety of topics to be covered throughout the summer. The first chat will be with Nipomo Co-Founder Liz Clark on July 5, 2018.
Also making its debut this summer is The Ocean Terrace Beverage Cart. An ode to the two championship golf courses at the resort, the re-purposed golf cart will serve signature cocktails, beer, wine, and hot cocoa during select weekends on Ocean Terrace. The cart will also be making its way around the toasty fire during the first Bonfire Hour on July 5, where guests can order small bites and beverages.
