SANTA CLARA, Calif. (PRWEB) June 28, 2018 -- PSSC Labs, a developer of custom High Performance Computing and Big Data computing solutions, announced today that the company has partnered with Hortonworks, Inc. to create a bundled high-performance computing appliance designed specifically for Hortonworks Cybersecurity Platform (HCP). The CyberRax Cybersecurity Appliance provides users with high-speed ingestion, real-time processing and a comprehensive view of cybersecurity data with alert summaries.
CyberRax includes all of the necessary hardware, networking and software public sector organizations need for a simple, one-step deployment with HCP. The turn-key platform is initially configured to support 150TB of data, 240 processor cores and a high speed network topology; allowing HCP customers to gain further insight into the real-time cybersecurity threat landscape across their networks.
Offering a comprehensive view of risk through a sophisticated security lens, HCP provides an accelerated path to a single view of relevant cyber threat data. The platform delivers ways to address threats through the use of specific data, analytical models and user interfaces to increase the efficiency of security operations.
"Organizations today are increasingly looking for an easy to deploy option when it comes to analyzing their data and dealing with cyber risks," said Alex Lesser, Vice President of PSSC Labs. "There are too many hurdles involved in trying to build a system from components. And the cost of running in the cloud is just too cost prohibitive. Combining our 25+ year experience deliving high-performance computing platforms with Hortonworks' comprehensive cybersecurity platform enables agencies to get up and running within 6 weeks at a 50%+ cost savings of comparable offerings.” The new platform provides public sector agencies with guaranteed speed to value by providing an "easy button" implementation with HCP. CyberRax’s flexible design allows users to easily upgrade all system components for seamless scalability as computing needs evolve.
"Agencies today are facing sophisticated cyber threats from across the globe and are constantly looking for ways to get ahead of bad actors," said Shaun Bierweiler, vice president, U.S. public sector at Hortonworks. "By incorporating a bundled cybersecurity appliance that ingests, processes, and provides data in real-time, CyberRax empowers public sector agencies to make more informed decisions and improve the overall cyber hygiene of their organizations."
The CyberRax Cybersecurity Appliance is available for immediate integration for current and future HCP customers. More information on the partnership and platform can be found at https://www.pssclabs.com/solutions/cybersecurity-bigdatacluster/.
