HNTB ranks No. 3 on nationwide list of transportation design firms
KANSAS CITY, Mo (PRWEB) June 28, 2018 -- HNTB Corporation moved to number three in rankings of transportation consulting firms in the United States, and climbed into the top five in several other market sectors, according to Engineering News-Record’s annual Top Design Firms Sourcebook for 2018.

The ENR Top Design Firms Sourcebook is compiled annually and provides market analysis and rankings of the largest U.S.-based architectural and engineering firms in the eight major industry sectors, and ranks design firms in almost 50 specific project types.
In addition to rising two spots in the transportation sector rankings, up from No. 5 last year, HNTB jumped three spots to No. 3 in Airports this year. HNTB also gained one spot, from No. 6 to No. 5 in Mass Transit and Rail, ticked up one spot to No. 3 in highways and remained in the top five in Bridges, earning a No. 4 ranking. The company also appeared at No. 6 in Sports, a significant leap after not being listed in the top 10 of this sector last year.
In the overall ranking of design firms by ENR, HNTB moved three spots to No. 16 of the top 500 firms.
HNTB’s many signature transportation projects include serving as architect of record for the design of South Terminal C at the Orlando International Airport; program management consultant for the Texas Department of Transportation’s $2.4 billion reconstruction of US-290 in Houston; design and engineering services for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit project on behalf of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority; and architect of record for the Las Vegas Raiders Stadium.
