Girl Up Leadership Summit to Bring Together Girl Advocates from 24 Countries, Global Leaders, Celebrities, and Gender Equality Advocates
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) June 28, 2018 -- As the global movement for gender equality continues to grow, almost 400 girls from across the United States and around the world will gather to advocate for the rights of girls in their communities and around the world.
Girl Up, housed by the United Nations Foundation, will hold its seventh annual Girl Up Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., bringing together celebrities, industry leaders, and almost 400 youth from 35 states and 24 countries, including Brazil, New Zealand, China, and France. At this “by girls, for girls” summit, attendees will receive leadership training, learn skills to make their voices heard, and finally take their message to Capitol Hill to advocate for girls both in their own communities and around the world.
