Elemental LED Lends Helping Hand to Local Charity
RENO, Nev. (PRWEB) June 28, 2018 -- Elemental LED, a leading U.S. based engineering and technology company that manufactures LED lighting solutions participated in a Reno charity event with the organization RISE (Reno Initiative for Shelter & Equality). Elemental LED participated with the RISE and Dine project, a volunteer driven program to bring food and clothing to hundreds of locals without homes.
To support the charity organization, Elemental LED held a volunteer event at their new headquarters in South Reno to pack brown bag lunches for those in need. Throughout the day, Elemental LED employees came together for a shared effort to make sandwiches and pack them in lunch bags with fruit, chips, and cookies and a positive, handwritten message from the volunteer. By the afternoon, over 200 brown bag lunches were donated to the Rise and Dine project.
"The bagged lunches were a huge hit– Elemental LED really went above and beyond!" Said Benjamin Castro, Executive Director of RISE. "No one was left hungry at this event and we couldn't have done it without their help. Thanks to the entire Elemental LED team on behalf of our houseless neighbors. This level of support and contribution means the world to them!"
"After relocating our company to Reno, we wanted to get involved in the local community and give back to the city that has welcomed us with open arms," said Jeff Johnson, Chief Administrative Officer of Elemental LED. Our employees enjoyed working together on the brown bag meal project and are enthusiastically planning future projects and fund raising."
