Pole Vaulting Over DC: DC Vault Launches State Of The Art Training Center in Downtown Washington, DC
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) July 06, 2018 -- July 8th, 2018 marks the 10 year anniversary of DC Vault, an elite pole vault training organization based in Washington, DC. To celebrate the occasion, this Sunday DC Vault is hosting a demo day and open pole vault competition to take place between 2:30-8:30 PM at its new state of the art training facility adjacent to RFK Stadium at 2200 East Capitol Street, NE.
The Avalon Institute led by USAF General John E. Michel (RET) and entrepreneur Perry Smith, has partnered with DC Vault to provide strategic support, community outreach and facilitate corporate partnerships. Smith states, "We are very excited to work with DC Vault and their athletes to provide support and guidance." A former Maryland State champion pole vaulter, Smith still has a passion for the sport, noting "What many don't know is that if female and male athletes can clear 13'-15' respectively, they have a real shot at a college scholarship.
