Doty as a member of the LLC and Partner in its Northern California practice.
Mr. Doty is a general management and corporate finance executive with a track record of growing manufacturing, distribution and real estate development companies.
Mr. Doty's career has ranged from entrepreneurial startups to major company turnarounds. He is credited with saving Granny Goose Foods from liquidation, taking its $3M loss on $35M sales to $5M profit on $105M sales. He performed as acting CFO of $50M Honolulu Shipyards and spearheaded the team that took the company out of pending foreclosure, refinanced it and disposed of under-performing assets, leading to its re-organization into profitability. Recently Mr. Doty has served as Acting CFO and COO of a branded national Whole Foods level spice importer, Acting CFO of an international federally funded non-profit education foundation and financing consultant for a fish packing company.
As CEO of Metro Pacific Corporation, he developed the sixteen story, 220 unit Post Street Towers, and converted the 207 unit Admiralty, the 40 unit Elm Terrace and the 100 unit Bellaire Tower to condominiums. He is credited with re-establishing the short-term rental industry in the Nob Hill district of San Francisco and has held the position of Receiver for the City and County of San Francisco and First Nationwide Bank.

At Newport Mr. Doty will focus in part on San Francisco's large private equity community leveraging his role as Managing Director for Finance of Esperance, LLC, an emerging growth PE fund and as Advisor and Venture Partner at another fund. He will also advise CEOs and Boards on strategy, operational planning and execution including strategies to enhance top line growth such as unit economics, business scaling, new markets, channels, segmentation and international expansion.
