In addition, Mr. Curry has been appointed Member of The Florida Bar's Standing Committee on Technology for the 2018–2019 term.
The Computer and Technology Law Committee is within the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar. The Business Law Section is the pivotal point for business lawyers throughout Florida to connect and find practical information about business law developments. The Section also actively generates policy-driven business law legislation in Florida and is a resource for the judiciary to learn about current business practices, and how they relate to difficult legal questions presented in cases.
Mr. Curry advises clients on blockchain, corporate and regulatory compliance matters and acts for select clients as outside general counsel. He has over 13 years of experience practicing law and advising individuals and businesses including high-stakes litigation, appeals and civil rights matters. His current practice focuses on advising businesses on blockchain and smart contract, cyber risk management, e-commerce, privacy and general corporate matters including litigation and appeals.
Mr. Curry has served as Member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Professionalism Committee, Member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Judicial Relations Committee, and Chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Business Law Committee. Mr. Curry is also a Member Emeritus of the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court, where he also served as Chair of the Judicial Liaison Committee and served on the Board of Directors.
Previously, Mr. Curry was compliance counsel to a small FINRA-registered broker-dealer and maintained Series 7, 24 and 66 designations. Mr. Curry earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College. Mr. Curry also holds a Chief Information Security Officer-Executive Certification from Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Curry is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Florida and Massachusetts, and is a Member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
