Cofense Appoints Phishing Defense Expert Tonia Dudley as Security Solutions Advisor
LEESBURG, Va. (PRWEB) July 11, 2018 -- Cofense™, the leading provider of human-driven phishing defense solutions worldwide, today announced the appointment of Tonia Dudley to serve as the company’s first Security Solutions Advisor. In this role, Tonia will focus on phishing defense advocacy while demonstrating how Cofense phishing defense solutions helps organizations across the globe minimizing the impact of phishing attacks while reducing the cost of operations. Tonia will evangelize Cofense’s approach to phishing defense and incident response to new and existing customers, prospects and the overall information technology market through a variety of speaking engagements, publishing platforms and media opportunities. Tonia also plans on advising Cofense product teams on specific customer and market-driven needs to help streamline product roadmaps and create Cofense’s inaugural international customer advisory board.
“We’ve taken several big steps forward this year to enhance our offerings and services for our customers,” said Jim Hansen, President and Chief Operating Officer at Cofense. “From this year’s rebrand and acquisition announcement, to shifting our sales model to 100% channel, and now with the addition of Tonia to our team, we are continuing to maintain our leading position in phishing defense. We will continue to innovate new ways for organizations to identify, respond to and disrupt attacks that bypassed their failed email gateways by utilizing advanced phishing automation and orchestration techniques powered by human intelligence.”
With more than a decade of cybersecurity experience, Tonia has managed cybersecurity incident response, security awareness programs, and IT compliance programs for large scale global organizations. She currently serves on the board of the National Cybersecurity Society, helping small businesses understand the growing and pertinent need for cybersecurity.
Tonia joins Cofense from Charles Schwab where she spent more than three years impacting their cybersecurity programs, including building cybersecurity awareness strategies to improve the overall cybersecurity posture. Prior to that, she was a security manager at Honeywell, where she built the foundation of her cybersecurity and incident response background.
“I am excited to join Cofense where I can really execute on my passion to build and improve security awareness and incident response programs across all major industries,” said Tonia Dudley. “With the threat landscape constantly evolving, our end users are the front-line entry points to threats that are sneaking their way through failing technology layers. Cybersecurity is more than just checking a box, it is something that must be prioritized across every level of an organization. We need to align our security awareness and incident response programs to ensure we’re collaborating and collectively fighting and winning this daily battle by disrupting attacks in-real time before real damage occurs.”
