FEI to Present at the National School Safety Conference
MILWAUKEE (PRWEB) July 17, 2018 -- FEI Behavioral Health, a social enterprise with a 35-year history and a leader in workforce resilience from workplace violence prevention and crisis management to EAP and organizational development, will present at the upcoming School Safety Advocacy Council (SSAC) 2018 National School Safety Conference running July 23-27, 2018 at the Omni Champions Gate Resort & Spa, Orlando, Fla.
FEI Business Solutions Engineer Raquelle Solon will be presenting the session “Is the Way You Communicate Affecting Behavior?” on July 25, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. EST. This session will explore how effective communication can be a tool for preventing acts of violence in schools.
Solon will discuss communication’s role in relationships and how certain interactions can trigger behaviors in at-risk or otherwise traumatized students. The session will explore the communication process and how at-risk youth express themselves and meet their needs. Participants will learn specific tools for improving their communication skills and strategies for incorporating a trauma-informed approach to communication and interactions with students.
In addition to presenting, FEI will also be exhibiting at the conference.
Solon is responsible for helping organizations determine and implement a holistic crisis management system. She also is responsible for the delivery of workplace violence prevention, leadership development, and crisis management trainings, and is experienced in reviewing current training and policies and procedures to identify gaps and work with clients towards a solution. Solon was named “Woman of the Year” for 2012-2013 by the National Association of Professional Women.
