Greater Bibleway Church International Announces $100,000 For American Kids Separated From There Parents
MARRERO, La., July 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Greater Bibleway Church International GBCI announced a $100,000 goal for 2018. GBCI states there are more than 2.5 million people in jail or prison in the United States of America today, compared to just 500,000 in 1980. Today 1-in-28 American Children, have an incarcerated parent. Just 25 years ago, the number was 1-in-125. Statistics found that the number of parents held in prison (52%) are mothers (54%) are fathers, at the times the times of their arrest were the primary provider for their children before incarceration. "The horror of these children being separated from their parent are heartbreaking," says Bishop Vernon Allen board member at GBCI, "when we on a daily see these kids around the country who face complex challenges, including bullying, sibling rivalry, lack of resources to even get a quality education like most kids who have parents in their daily lives." Greater Bibleway Church International (GBCI) announces today that enough is enough, we cannot afford to stand on the sideline and watch innocent children suffer in the United States of America because of what parents did or did not do. We announce the following: we will provide kids with all the educational tools and resources to allow each child a fair opportunity to learn in an environment that will give them the chance of a lifetime. Greater Bibleway church International provides tips for caregivers to help the growing number of children affected by incarceration and features videos of both real-world children and characters sharing their own experiences with the subject, free of charge to families around the country. We found that two-thirds of these incarcerated parents were serving time for a non-violent crime while one-third were serving time for a violent one, according to a 2010 report from The Pew Charitable Trusts. Greater Bibleway Church will provide for as many kids as they have capacity and funds to serve, will provide tuition, school uniforms, school supplies, after care payments, sports and extracurricular equipment/clothing and spending money for field trips and other special events/needs that children depend on their parents to provide. These efforts attempt to give these children a sense of normalcy as we work to unite these families once the parent is released from prison. Greater Bibleway Church International, under the leadership, of Presiding Bishop Toris T. Young said the following: "At Greater Bibleway Church International, we will be dedicated to rescuing, restoring, and releasing children from poverty and hopelessness it is our goal our mandate that God has ordain and called us to do." Bishop Young went on to say " We are ready willing and able to lead the world to worship God through Serving, Loving, Evangelizing and Discipleship. As an Apostolic and Prophetic center that builds, equips, activates, imparts, releases, gather, restores, and revives people of all race, sex, creed and nationality. We will Love, Live and Lead like Christ. As we are a God-glorifying, Christ-centered, Holy Ghost-empowered, word-based and people-oriented church. We understand the pain and despair that these children encounter, I am a living testament of this pain with three children who have experience with this epidemic." We call upon all people of good will to join us in fighting to help our children and give each of them the education they deserve.
