PhytAge Laboratories Commits to Expand Awareness for Forgotten Orphans and Donates to Support ASU's Occupational Therapy Students in Uganda's Home of Hope Orphanage

Their pledge comes as they support the charitable involvement of Alabama State University's Occupational Therapy students, in Uganda. In light of the efforts of ASU's students, PhytAge Laboratories made a monetary donation to aid the program in future trips to the orphanage.

In the recent four years, ASU students have traveled to the Home of Hope orphanage in Uganda to provide occupational therapy to the children housed in the facility. On July, 29, 2018, the Alabama NewsCenter published the article titled, "Alabama State Students Conduct Needed Therapy for Uganda's Forgotten Orphans." The articled revealed that for the past four years, Alabama State University's Occupational Therapy students have traveled to the Home of Hope orphanage in Jinja, Uganda. The students travel the great distance to give treatment to children who may not otherwise have access to such medical care. The students have administered hands-on occupational therapy treatment to over 60 children housed in the Home of Hope facility. The students work to find creative solutions to the lack of cutting-edge equipment and modern technology as they provide treatment to the orphans of Jinja.
Many orphans suffer conditions like sickle cell anemia, autism, cerebral palsy, and other development illnesses. The ASU occupational therapy that the students administer are key in aiding the children as they try to survive life in the orphanage with their conditions and illnesses. Without the contribution and dedication of people like the students of ASU's Occupational Therapy program, many of these children would go on untreated.
