Fluid Sound in San Diego Completes Audiovisual Installation for Barona Casino & Resorts Floor Expansion
Fluid Sound, an audiovisual company in San Diego, announced recently that they have completed the design and installation of the audiovisual system for the new casino floor expansion at Barona Casino & Resort in Lakeside, California.
SAN DIEGO, July 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fluid Sound, an audiovisual company in San Diego, announced recently that they have completed the design and installation of the audiovisual system for the new casino floor expansion at Barona Casino & Resort in Lakeside, California.
Fluid sound was tasked with the design and integration of the casino's new HDMI over IP 40GB network trunk backbone, and also with installing the more than 60 new displays, which will be used for both broadcast video and digital signage. Another large part of the project was the creation of a large dome at the entrance of the casino's new parking garage, which was completely covered by video imaging. This was accomplished by stacking two laser projectors with custom fisheye lenses to achieve a 20K lumen image over the entire dome surface.
In addition to the work they did on the casino floor expansion, Fluid Sound also provided the casino with a foundation that will support the eventual overhaul of the legacy casino systems. In the meantime, this implementation provides a seamless experience as guests move from the legacy casino floor to the newly completed area.

Notable vendors and manufactures on this project included: NEC (for professional displays, monitors and projectors), Just-Add-Power (for HDMI over IP devices and support), Cisco (for network switches), Peavey (for digital audio signal processors), Navitar (for projections optics), Crestron (for control systems), and Klipsch (for professional ceiling loudspeakers and subwoofers). The overall management of the project was done by TSA Construction, a San Diego-based general contracting company.
