Photographer's Donation Gives a Face to the Cause

NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 18, 2018 -- Nabu.org, formerly known as Library For All, has launched their rebranding with Sasha Nialla’s photography giving a vibrant look and attracting a younger audience to care and get involved in Nabu.org.

Right now, 250M children are at risk of exploitation because they are leaving school without being able to read or write. The cost to society of 250M children not achieving basic literacy is $129BN per year. If every child could read by the time they left school, there would be a 12% drop in world poverty.

Nabu.org addresses this need by creating and distributing local language books that support children in learning how to read.

Sasha’s gritty style has granted attention and awards from magazines and advertising agencies across the US. The high contrast black and white portrait of a young boy looking up at “his future” invites the viewer to wonder and feel empathy for the child. By having a face in the advertisement, the audience can relate and take action.

About Sasha Nialla
Ms. Nialla was raised in California and spent the last 18 years in New York City. As a photographer for 13 years, Ms. Nialla has been continuously getting involved in photography projects that bring awareness to different causes and life experiences, including; children with HIV/AIDS, diabetes, Iraq war survivors and many more. All these projects have resulted in supporting vulnerable groups and people, and those not exposed to these situations in their everyday lives. Highlights include multiple billboards in Times Square for Bideawee, standees of breast cancer survivors with NFL players in Kroger supermarkets and on PepsiCo and Gatorade packaging, a photo exhibition of women immigrants with New Women New Yorkers and an exhibition of cancer survivors in the NYU Langone Medical Center art gallery.
