Fifteen Summer Activities for High School Students
PALO ALTO, Calif. (PRWEB) July 17, 2018 -- SuperCamp, a summer learning, leadership and life skills camp, has developed the definitive list of 15 summer activities for high school students that represent a blend of growth opportunities, fun and relaxation.
The summer enrichment program advocates balancing the summer break between personal development areas and fun pursuits, as well as a certain amount of downtime to help offset the severe time pressure high-achieving high school students face throughout the school year.
Recommended growth activities include developing new skills, volunteering, interning and getting a jump on college prep through college visits and developing a college essay topic. The complete list of recommended summer activities is available on SuperCamp’s blog.
SuperCamp is in its 37th year of operation and has graduated over 78,000 students worldwide in that time. The hallmark of its 6-day and 10-day summer programs is that students gain and retain new academic and life skills because the environment at SuperCamp is unlike school in that it is fun, dynamic, engaging and empowering.
“Our secret sauce is that we make learning fun,” says SuperCamp co-founder and president, Bobbi DePorter. “We’re firm believers that a student’s summer should combine growth and fun, with enough relaxation thrown in so they can recharge before they return to school.”
SuperCamp runs programs at U.S. college campuses throughout the summer. Camps begin as late as mid-August at Stanford University. Other 2018 summer locations for SuperCamp are Villanova, the University of Central Florida and Southwestern University.
