Greenberg Traurig’s Tomás Leonard Speaks at the 2nd ICC Peruvian Arbitration Day
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) October 12, 2018 -- Tomás Leonard, a shareholder in the International Arbitration and Litigation Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, spoke at the 2nd International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Peruvian Arbitration Day Oct. 12 in Lima, Peru. The two-day event is organized by the ICC International Court of Arbitration and the Commission on Arbitration & ADR of ICC Peru.
The ICC Peruvian Arbitration Day focused on how to avoid corruption in arbitral proceedings, how to manage illegal evidence, the implications of criminal investigations on the arbitral proceedings, and the responsibility of arbitrators and arbitral institutions.
Leonard spoke on the panel titled, “The Role of Arbitration Tribunals in the Face of Corruption,” addressed corruption in both international commercial and investment contracts, competition, arbitrability, and international public order and corruption cases in Latin American construction contracts.
