The 2018 Deseret News Home Show opens its doors on Friday, October 12, 2018 and continues through Sunday, October 14 at the Mountain America Expo Center. This fall, the Home Show team welcomes HGTV Fixer Upper’s Clint Harp and Utah designers, Kate Jensen of White Lane Décor, Kristin Rocke of K. Rocke Design and Brandon and Mike Kay of The JunkHunks.
Clint Harp can be found regularly on HGTV’s hit show Fixer Upper and on DIY Network’s Wood Work, as the dumpster-diving, reclaimed wood-loving carpenter. He will share his experience in carpentry and home improvement on the Design Stage presented by Xfinity on Friday, October 12 at 5:00 p.m.; and Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Also, Utah TV host and blogger, Brooke Graham will moderate a panel discussion showcasing the creative ideas of local designers—Kate Jensen of White Lane Décor, Kristin Rocke of K. Rocke Design and Brandon and Mike Kay of The JunkHunks. Catch the designers on the Design Stage on Friday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm; Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, October 14 at noon.
This season, the Deseret News Home Show will feature the Holiday Marketplace filled with unique gifts and home goods for every season. Also, three local pergola companies including Notched, Western Timber Frame and Wright Timber Frame, are creating relaxing Zen Dens where guests can gather inspiration for an oasis in their own homes and vote for their favorite all weekend. For those attendees that need to relax, there will be the Xfinity Sports Lounge. And, on the Kitchen Stage presented by SelectHealth, Maxine Turner, of Cuisine Unlimited Catering & Special Events, will share her favorite fall recipes like Pumpkin Patch Pie.
The Deseret News Home Show is offering a free shuttle service to and from the inContact parking structure to the Mountain America Expo Center.
