WOODSIDE, Calif., March 04, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Filoli is looking forward to celebrating its twenty-ninth annual summer concert series, Jazz at Filoli. As it is now a tradition, up-tempo concerts by renowned artists mark the peak of the Summer season, bringing the magic of jazz to a beautiful historic setting.
"Jazz at Filoli is a great way to enjoy the long summer days. We invite everyone to bring friends and family and join us for six Sundays of live music in a unique setting," says Kara Newport, Chief Executive Officer at Filoli. The beautiful Woodland Gardens overlooking the House and Estate will serve as the backdrop of this festival, that is now a tradition in the Bay Area.
Dates and Lineup
This summer's Jazz at Filoli lineup will boast jazz luminaries featuring Latin jazz and big band/swing with an emphasis on the Great American Songbook. The dates and performers announced are:
June 9 - Wayne Wallace Latin Jazz Quintet
June 23 - Jamie Davis "The Great Baritones"
July 14 - Sara Niemietz & W.G. Snuffy Walden
July 28 - Larry Vuckovitch and his Contemporary Swinging Hard Bop Ensemble
August 11 - Nicolas Bearde - Nat King Cole 100th
August 25 - The John Santos Sextet
Following the objective to bring more diverse audiences to the Estate, Filoli offers a wide-array of options to be part of this concert series, from VIP packages that guarantee early admission, a private pre-concert reception, and a reserved table for 8 guests throughout the series, to individual tickets. In all cases, the entrance includes beverages and snacks (conditions vary by ticket level), and guests are welcome to purchase a boxed lunch from the on-site Cafe, or bring their own food. Whether packing a picnic or grabbing a boxed lunch, Jazz at Filoli's guests are sure to enjoy wonderful performances by world class artists.
