DETROIT, July 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The 2019 Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Hydrofest announced this year's ticket office is officially open. The race details and ticket options for the hydroplane race taking place on the Detroit River August 24th and 25th are also on http://detroitboatraces.com and Eventbrite.
The Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Hydrofest continues the tradition of a family-friendly fun action-packed event for 2019. This year will feature even more pricing options to allow for even greater access. Day tickets start at $10 for general admission, $20 for grandstand seating on Saturday, $25 for grandstand seating on Sunday or $40 for grandstand seating all weekend.
"This year's seating options and pricing will allow greater access and an excellent race experience for all fans," said Detroit Riverfront Events President, Mark Weber. He continued, "Races will run every 15 minutes giving fans less downtime and a more action-packed experience."
For fans who are interested in revving up their race day, tickets in the Commodore's Club start at $50. Judges' Stand seats are $60, located at the fastest point on the race course – the start / finish line (bonus – the area is covered and beer and wine are available for purchase). For the highest viewing area on the race course, first come, first-serve Pit Tower seats (80 total) – are available for $100. These seats are three stories high and put fans right in front of the Roostertail turns.
If fans are looking for a premier experience with food and beverages catered by Andiamo Restaurants, Club Gold Cup is a perfect fit. $200 includes race entrance, viewing from the VIP tent, an open buffet-style lunch and non-alcoholic beverages (cash bar is available).

The 2019 Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Hydrofest will be an all piston-powered event— fans will watch the world's fastest automotive-powered hydroplanes compete on a 1.25 mile course every 15 minutes. The Hydroplane Racing League is bringing a dozen Grand Prix boats from Canada, New Zealand and the United States to headline the event. These boats are 24-feet long with 468 cu. in. supercharged, big-block V8 Chevrolet piston engines producing as much as 1,500 horsepower and reaching speeds of 160 mph. Along with the Grand Prix boats, 20 to 22 H-350 hydroplanes and the unique flat-bottom, Jersey Speed Skiff from the HRL will join the show. H-350 hydroplanes reach speeds of 120 mph, Speed Skiffs' top speed are 80 mph.
