The 2019 Salt Lake Home Show presented by Mountain America Credit Union opens its doors on Friday, January 11, 2019 and continues through Sunday, January 13 at the Mountain America Expo Center. This year, the Home Show team welcomes Kevin O’Connor of PBS’s This Old House and Brett Tutor of TLC’s Trading Spaces. Both pros will appear on the Design stage at the Home Show throughout the weekend.

Prior to Kevin O’Connor’s television debut, while renovating his first home, O’Connor encountered a few unforeseen problems and sought the help of Ask This Old House experts. Months after his guest appearance, the This Old House team contacted O’Connor to offer a hosting position on the show. O’Connor quickly made the transition from financial expert to Emmy Award-nominated television host. O’Connor will share the latest renovation tips when he takes to the Design Stage on Friday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Also, on the national celebrity guest lineup is the newest carpenter on TLC’s Trading Spaces, Brett Tutor. He’s been all around the world and has worked with people from all walks of life. He also has his own nonprofit he founded in 2014 called Off The Grid International, with the goal in mind to raise awareness for other nonprofit organizations and build clean water and sanitation systems in the most remote areas on the planet. Brett Tutor will be on the Design Stage on Friday, Jan. 11 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

This year, the Home Show will feature four designer Modern Designer Sheds by Wright’s Shed Co. where guests can get a firsthand look and learn more about maximizing style and function in a smaller space. New to the Home Show is the PETopia feature where you can adopt a new pet via the live adoption program. Also, Home Show guests have the opportunity to get personalized interior design advice as well as learn new recipes by visiting the Kitchen Stage.
