Evergood Announces Strategic Partnership with Akerblom Advisory to Offer ESG and Impact Services

As COVID-19 wreaks havoc on International markets and North Americans begin to question racial equity in all elements of society, a women-led team of ESG and Impact consultants demonstrate their acumen and sophistication in supporting both investors and companies to do better.

In June of 2020, the leaders of Evergood and Akerblom Advisory convened a meeting to reflect on the dramatic impact of COVID-19 to market systems, to discuss the performance of ESG-aligned companies and to commiserate on racial demonstrations brought about by police brutality, which inspired an equally impassioned reflection on access to and control of capital by women and minority founders. Evergood and Akerblom Advisory found common ground on these matters and entered into a pact to join forces and offer investors and companies their collective intelligence, in navigating an unprecedented investment landscape - one that will surely be rethought and redesigned in light of recent developments.

Chaitali Patel founded Evergood after a long tenure in the finance and social impact industry as a leader in wealth management, management consulting and financial technology solutions. Evergood has built a reputation in advising clients in building and designing impact investing portfolios, impact measurement and ESG/SDG metrics.

Akerblom Advisory’s leader, Kate Sharum Daniels, brings fifteen years of experience in International Development and direct ESG and Impact experience in Portfolio Companies, with General Partners and working closely with Development Financing Institutions such as DEG, CDC, FinnFund and FMO. Kate is leveraging her vast exposure to investment in the global South through Latin American and African businesses and merging it with Chaitali Patel’s deep roots in the North American finance industry.

The partnership will focus on the supply side of the ESG reporting and will serve middle market and PE portfolio companies seeking to deliver ESG performance information to their stakeholders. The team will continue to amplify their work as industry experts through a series of educational webinars, research publications and a podcast.

“The world is experiencing profound changes at the moment. People are questioning the status quo and seeking meaningful change in their communities. Businesses have a role to play in the movement as they consider the broader purpose of their organizations and seek to serve a wide range of stakeholders. I am excited to partner with Kate and the Akerblom team to help these businesses design, implement and report their ESG strategy and performance,” Chaitali Patel.
